Bought from Herons nursery in
June 1996 for £90 I will repot into a more appropriate pot in spring
1997.
Note: still putting on new leaf in December. I had to leaf prune it to
put it in the garage for the winter!! |

Repotted into new cream pot in early February.
Note: buds bursting 3rd week in Feb. (this tree does not want to sleep!!). |

Pruned and wired in February 1998.
I broke one of the main leaders trying to move it about 5 mm. this is a
very brittle variety, exercise extreme caution when wiring! (luckily it
also heals very well). |

Unfortunately the main
leader that broke in 1998 has died. I think it got hit by a late autumn
frost. I will prune it out and wire up a new one but it will take
several years before it looks as good as before. |
