This twin group was assembled in spring '96 based (very
loosely) on Dan Barton's famous twin larch group.
The trees were ordinary garden centre material. |

Very fast growing tree.
loads of secondary and tertiary branches have grown in 6 months. |

Repotted into a proper bonsai pot in spring '99 (for
training purposes only).
I will most likely put this group on a slab sometime in the future. |

Repotted onto a slate slab.
looks a lot better but years of work to go yet. |

The right-hand tree seems to be more vigorous this
year, probably due to root pruning when they were put on the slab. |
