January 1997
This planting was a project for a demonstration a my
local club.
Eastleigh Bonsai Society.
It is made from 7 pieces of 'Tufa' rock cemented onto a slate
base. |
|
Spring 1997
The rock was planted up as a demo at the club in
February with 3 dwarf junipers and 4 small Acer palmatum. |

Spring 1998
I have replaced the Squamatas with Chinensis which give
a much better image. I also made the mistake of planting some Arenaria
belearica on the rock which looks very nice which it's small white flowers
but it spreads like wildfire and is a major pain trying to keep it under
control. |

May 1999
The Junipers still need a lot of development but the
image I was after is starting to come together. |

November1999
Junipers are filling out well and I think the
contrast with the autumn colours looks great. |
